WINE

The terroir of gravel on clay, planted with Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Franc, has produced a solar wine. Very colorful, with purple reflections, this 2015 opens with aeration on cooked or candied red fruits, nuanced with touches of game, the wood remaining very discreet. Warm in attack, with a beautiful roundness, it is tense with a little nervousness. Its dense tannins begin to soften. A sincere, “natural” wine, which can quickly appear at the table.

THE WINEMAKER

Claire Laval took over in 1983 with her husband Dominique Techer Gombaude-Guillot, a family vineyard of around 8 ha, created in 1860 on the Pomerol plateau. Acquired in 1996, Clos Plince (approximately 1 ha) was added to this vintage. The couple began the organic conversion of the property in 1997 (certification in 2000) and entrusted the management of these properties to their son Olivier in 2015.
